Progress 2

 


This week I worked on the harder parts of my model and it took a lot longer to make these. The fact that some of these shapes are on angles really messed me up specifically when I hade to Booleandiffernce things away from them



He is comming together  just need to add materials and render him

Surface Design

 References Process I was creating random shapes in class and made a document of just shapes that I liked so I could use it as a library if I wanted. This was helpful with creating an outline and filling negative space. I was wanting to make my surface design to be like a stamp or brand, rather then a pattern. I took inspiration of a oni mask and using the sun and the moon as a way of contrast.  I choose the colors for the oni mask before anything as I wanted specific colors for it and contrasted the rest of the design based off of the mask. I did put it in a pattern after I finished the design and did not like how it looked this way as it had so much negative space and the detail from the oni mask was getting lost in the piece.
